I thought it would interesting to name off all the species of sharks that have been discovered (or close to all of ’em) !  So here’s a list and the size of each

  • Basking Sharks – 33 feet (10 meters)
  • Great White Sharks – 21 1/2 feet (6.6 meters)
  • Tiger Sharks – 18 feet (5.6 meters)
  • Common Thresher Sharks – 16 1/2 t0 20 feet (5 t0 6 meters)
  • Shortfin Mako Sharks – 13 feet (3.95 meters)
  • Blue Sharks – 12 1/2 feet (3.8 meters)
  • Porbeagle Sharks – 12 feet (3.7 meters)
  • Sand Tiger Sharks – 10 1/2 feet (3.2 meters)
  • Spiny Dogfish – 5 feet (1.5 meters)
  • Smooth Dogfish – 5 feet (1.5 meters)
  • Sharpnose Sharks – 3 1/2 feet (1 meter)
  • Whale Sharks – 46 feet (14 meter)
  • Oceanic Whitetip Sharks – 13 feet (4 meters)
  • Dusky Sharks – 13 feet (4 meters)
  • Smooth Hammerhead – 8 to 13 feet (2.5 to 4 meters)
  • Portuguese Sharks – 4 feet (1.2 meters)
  • Rough Sagre – 30 inches (70 centimeters)
  • Black Dogfish – Unknown
